Coming from mostly Gibsons and Fenders, I was looking for some different tone. I tried out the Warren Ellis 6 and found what I was looking for in spades. I didn't know whether I could handle the shorter scale, but it only took a few minutes to completely ignore the scale differences. As you'd expect with a short scale, this thing can bend notes farther and easier. What I didn't expect was the full, warm, rich tone of the neck pup - it's incredible. The bridge pickup gives the guitar a nice range, but honestly I'm using either the neck alone or both pickups together most of the time... just can't bring myself to turn the neck pickup off. I think the guitar's blood red finish matches the tone perfectly. RJ's demo accurately depicts what this guitar puts out and I love it. It's becoming one of my favorite guitars.
