The Eastwood Stormbird is a based on the 1960's non-reverse Firebird. Loaded with P-90 pickups, stop tail, tune-o-matic bridge and featuring a set maple neck design. The Stormbird is well balanced, solid instrument that delivers what you would expect from a guitar at three times the price.

It all started one day while I was watching The Partridge Family. David Cassidy was playing a crazy shaped guitar I had never seen before. After searching the episode, I found out the guitar was an Ovation Breadwinner. Searching the internet for one brought me to Eastwood Guitars. After 6-7 months of staring at all the incredible models they offer, I narrowed it down to six, (no joke), that I definitely had to have. With the price range of these guitars, it is not out of the question of this happening. I decided to start with the gold Stormbird. When it was delivered, I took it out of the box, plugged it in and instantly fell in love with the feel of the guitar and the sound of the P90's. The finish is such a show stopper it will definitely get double takes at my next gig. Getting a set neck at this price is unbelievable. Especially one of the quality of an Eastwood. I can now check the Stormbird off my list knowing that the quality of future Eastwood Guitar purchases will not be in question.

Nice, fast neck, and well set up out of the box. I plugged in and played, P-90's sound good, especially with a little dirt, they snarl.
The gold finish is awesome and clean, nicely done. Pickguard isn't perfect, but otherwise fit and finish are good.
If you like the style of the non-reverse 'Bird, the Eastwood Stormbird is worth checking out, I like it a lot.

Pickups are great, nice neck even though I have small hands. The body is eloquent, but fierce . Absolutely in love with the gold finish.
