The SIDEJACK series are based on the 1960's MOSRITE. Mosrite guitars were made in USA and began gaining in popularity in the early 1960's with the help of The Ventures. We’ve modeled the look, tone and feel of the original, but added a truly unique twist – we’ve given it a 32″ scale rather than the standard 34″ scale of your Fender P-Bass.

First of all I would like to thank Eastwood Guitars (and Mike especially) for great customer support and service. No problems with order and shipment (I live in Oslo, Norway).
This is a first impression review after testing the bass one (long!) evening/night.
-Looks absolutely gorgeous!
-Will definitely widen peoples eyes.
Sound and feel:
-Even though it is 32" instead of the usual 34" it feels very much like my Fender P bass. The neck is about the same width. But because of the 32", it feels "faster".
- Sonically it appears to be very versatile.
To me it sounded almost like a Rickenbacker (especially with the pick). Non of my other basses has come as close as this when I played Roundabout (Yes) :)
With the fingers I could easily get more funky sounds out of it (think Flea/RHCP). I did not expect that!
All in all my first impression of this bass is very very good. I fell in love. Now it remains to see how it will do in studio and on the big stage. But for this price I can not do anything but recommend this bass with all of my heart.

When I saw that Eastwood was releasing a 32" scale bass based on a Mosrite I had to see if I could get a lefty. Mike said it was do-able. Cool. How about in metallic blue? Yep. Make it so!
Well, it took a few months to arrive as it was part of the initial shipment, but it was well worth it. It's a sweet bass. Great neck, well-built, and sounds awesome. And the next time someone asks what bass sounds like a Ric but doesn't cost as much, I'll finally have an answer, the Eastwood Sidejack 32.
This is my 4th lefty Eastwood bass, I love 'em!
