NATIONAL MAP Guitars were made in the USA from 1958-64 by VALCO and sold through Montgomery Ward. The AIRLINE® MAP is a tribute to the NATIONAL Newport Guitar from 1962. This Baritone Model is new to the Airline MAP family in 2014. Today they are played by people like David Bowie, The Cure, Calexico and White Stripes. Original MAP Res-O-Glas models now sell for $3,000-$5,000.

This baritone looks great, sounds great and stays in tune. I'm a "made in USA" snob and it's difficult for me to purchase an import. But I gotta say that I love this guitar so far. It inspires me to play songs differently. Not only in a lower key but tempo and dynamics as well. This is the most stable guitar that I've owned with a Bigsby on it also. I'm sure that's because of the added string tension. Do not be afraid of the Bigsby model. You'll need to roll the bass and mids off when using most amps to not fart out the speakers. Not a problem. I would recommend you buy this guitar.

What a powerful guitar with beautiful construction and an elegant tone. I couldn't be more ecstatic about this guitar. I haven't purchased a new guitar in quite sometime and I am so happy to have Eastwood guitars.

I know these guitars have gained a following in the metal arena with the B tuning, but coming from a "long in the tooth" picker, this is an awesome guitar. The build is amazing and the tone, OMG the tone! through a Vox AC 15 is just a time machine. All the fingerings from a regular guitar work with the B E A D F# B tuning. but my favorite is to do a call and return with myself playing a bass line and then a guitar line on the higher strings. What a blast! It is all that you could want it to be and more. Get one!
