The Airline Jupiter is reminiscent of the late 1950's Silvertone Jupiter model. The unique hollow-body design without F-Holes combine with the Airline ARGYLE Single coil pickups to produce a unique tone reminiscent from many early electric guitars from the 50's and 60's. The Jupiter is capable of producing clean or distorted tones without feedback.

The Jupiter is a fun-to-play, good-looking guitar -- and as a lefty -- I appreciate all the Eastwood and Airline instruments that are available to us southpaws from their unique inventory. I like the Argyle pickups a lot. They add a great retro-feel to this guitar. I changed around some of the parts on the guitar (mostly because I had them on hand...), and turned this fun guitar into one that's on par with all my other gig-worthy instruments. I changed the wood bridge to a Gibson ABR-1-type bridge giving it a bit more tone; I changed the tuners to some Grovers, and most importantly, I changed the tailpiece to a shorter trapeze tailpiece. This final modification made instrument less stiff and easier to play. The Jupiter is cool the way comes from the factory, but for me, I believe these modifications turned a fun guitar into a great guitar!

OK, tried em out last night. The pickups are not especially "hot", but they sound great. Different somehow too. Lots of tonal possibilities with this guitar. I especially like the middle position with neck PU set dark and bridge PU bright. This guitar can sound woody and jazzy, bright and twangy, or really gritty and grindy. I am really happy Mike, thanks again.

This guitar arrived today, that was incredibly fast! Thank you!
The level of quality is very very nice, with a good neck and fingerboard, nice fret job, fret ends all well finished, binding looks great, nice glossy topcoat.
I have not given it a proper tryout plugged-in yet. I'll have to see if I can bond with those funky pickups... but I figured that going in...
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for such unbelievably fast shipping, and wanted to emphasize, this guitar is gorgeous!
