  1. One of the most interesting guitars with one pickup

Posted by Sasha Sadikov (Maple syrup band Moscow) on 27th May 2014

When I bought this model in 2012 I didn't know how one pickup guitar could sound. Maybe like a Tele? or like a Strat in bridge position? The answer I found is yes and no. Anyway I loved this instrument.
Of course, it's hard to get thick deep tone as you can do with any Les Paul, but this model is not about that kind of sound. It gives you bright, raw tone with highs and middles, close to overdrive without a pedal (just turn the volume on 10). At the same time you can get very cool clean sound as if you play acoustic guitar. I used Airline '59 1p for garage rock, classic rock style riffs, funk stuff in my band and even country songs.
I also have to say few more words about playability: the neck is the best I've ever played, thin and fast. Playing any chord or lick becomes easier.
And finally - it looks perfect, red and crazy!
